Our research topic is going to explore the connection between the presence of siblings during childhood, or lack thereof, and its outcome of a more introverted or extroverted personality during adulthood. Specifically, the question we are posing is “Does growing up with siblings have an impact on someone’s levels of introversion and extroversion in the classroom?” We know that many different elements play a part in shaping one’s personality but we want to know if siblings have a significant effect on it. We think this is an important study because it could bring to light just why some people tend to do better in school than others. This investigation might be able to help us understand where people get their introverted or extroverted tendencies and even how certain interactions as a child can lead to certain behaviors as a teen and adult. By understanding how people's backgrounds relate to their personality, we can connect this to their tendencies in the classroom and be aware of how they learn best.
